Wirral FUSS held its Volunteer Celebration Lunch on 23rd March at Moreton Methodist Church. It was attended not only by 38 of our amazing volunteers, but also the Mayor & Mayoress of Wirral.
The event was to thank volunteers for their continuing faithful service in sorting & giving away FREE school uniforms. Last year they served 5890 families with 29553 items of uniforms and saved nearly 10 tonnes of perfectly good clothing going to landfill. Without their amazing e fort & loyalty this would not have been possible.
Wirral Fuss has been running since 2012, having started in St Luke’s in Hoylake by Sheila Fowler, we now have ten Wirral hubs and ecumenically, two in Anglican churches, plus the shop hub in Birkenhead town Centre. Petra Davies
