Lent Resources

The following Lent courses and reflections are offered by various churches around the Circuit.

 Act on Poverty

 Zoom Lent Course

In each 1-hour session we will read a key Bible passage, hear audio stories of local and global people working to alleviate poverty, and there will be zoom breakout rooms for discussion. The sessions will help us to gain a deeper understanding of poverty, local and global and offer inspiration for actions we can take to tackle poverty together.

“Poverty hurts. It blights the lives of people in the UK and around the world. But poverty is not inevitable. Choices that are made, and that we make, force people into poverty and trap them there. This means we can make a difference. By using our voices and our votes, by using our heads and our hearts and by deepening our understanding of God’s love for all God has made.”
