Have you discovered the Beacon Cafe at the top of the hill in Heswall, next to the Methodist Church? If you are looking for excellent home-cooked food and a warm, friendly welcome then this is the place for you.
The Cafe is part of Heswall Methodist Church and is run by a team of volunteers. The main purpose of the cafe is to offer a place where everyone is made welcome. It specialises in freshly prepared home-cooked food and is open term-time only on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings. All profit is donated to Charity and this year we have been able to distribute over £9000.
We are looking for one or two people to join our friendly team., especially on a Tuesday.
Do you love cooking, or have catering experience? Maybe you have recently retired, or your children are now at school and you would like to take up some voluntary work.
The Cafe is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10.30 – 2pm serving coffees and lunches, and Saturday for coffee throughout the year.
Come and join us for coffee and find out what we do. If you are then interested in cooking, waiting on, or even loading the dishwasher, have a word with one of our volunteers or ring Marjorie Griffiths at 348-4969. You would really enjoy being part of the team, providing a service to the local community and helping many charities support people who are much less fortunate than ourselves.
