Last Sunday lunchtime up to 26 members and friends of Little Sutton and Hope Farm churches sang carols in the entrance to Burleydam Garden Centre. It was good to see many who were passing us joining in as they walked past, and a delight to see looks of astonishment that we were not collecting for anything. (Photos from Fritz) ...

Our Ellesmere Port and Queensferry stores are taking part in a new trial to give local foodbanks and community groups good quality food that would otherwise go to waste. The Port Grocery, a social supermarket that distributes surplus food as well as offering a free Wednesday lunch club at Trinity Methodist Church in Ellesmere Port, is one of the groups receiving supplies. Jenni, pictured here with Kerry from our Ellesmere Port store, said: "We set up the community lunches to tackle food and fuel poverty but we've found we're tackling things like social isolation as well. For some people it's the only thing they leave the house for. In addition to hot meals, we also give away surplus food from the shop and any clothing that gets donated." Read more: ...
